Affton is located in the heart of St Louis County in the zip code of 63123  Demographics

The history of Affton Mo

In 1842 MacKenzie had his lands surveyed and divided into 40 acre (162,000 m²) tracts which he put up for sale. During the period from 1835 to 1870 there was much political disturbance inEurope, and Germany, and many of the German immigrants came toAffton with their families to live.Oakland House

In 1805 a large tract of485 acres was sold to mr Louis Benoist, a  St. Louis banker.

One of the most treasured landmark of the community is Grant’s log cabin which is located in Grants Farm.  This cabin was originally built by Ulysses S. Grant in 1848
