Today, I went down to the Randolph County Humane Society! as part of my Annual Elf on the Shelf Charity Drive.
I got to talk to the great team of people who run it, learn about their operation, and how we can help. I also got to meet a lot of great pups!
Now, the first task of the Elf on the Shelf is to show up and cause some mischief. There’s not a better way to do that than to get access to the computer and security monitor! 🙂

We’re going to be collecting the following donations:
Money – The RCHS currently leases their building. They need to find a new building so that they can accept cats. The reason why they can’t currently accept cats is because they aren’t allow to have cats and dogs in the same space. Money will also help with their operational costs and help give medical treatment to the animals when needed.
Bleach & Pine-Sol – Cleanliness is next to Godliness right? As you can imagine, bleach and Pine-Sol really helps with that.
- Fleece Blankets – The dogs love them! But NO Afghan Blankets! Teeth and claws get stuck in them, and it could hurt the pups.
- Toys and Dog Food!
After I dropped off some blankets and food, I got to meet some of the dogs still looking for homes.

So next week, I’m going back with another round of donations, and I’ll be doing a Facebook Live interview with some of the staff about their organization, who they are, what they need, and how you can get connected with your dog. You can learn all about these pups and how to get started adopting one here.
If you would like to make a donation, respond to this post in the comment section below, reach me on Facebook, or wherever you’re reading this, and Justin The Elf will come to you to pick it up!
